Ryan Cherry

Coach Ryan has been pole vaulting for over a decade, beginning as a freshman at Oakton High School. He went on to compete for George Mason University, where he was recruited as a pole vaulter and competed in multiple Atlantic 10 Championship meets. He was known for his quick takeoff and his ability to make "under" jumps look effortless. His personal best in pole vault is 4.52 meters (14’10”). Ryan now volunteers as a coach at the Northern Virginia Pole Vault Club, bringing years of experience and a passion for helping athletes refine their technique.
